At this amazingly gorgeous and secluded restaurant by the sea, just south of Monaco, the burrata salad appetizer is everything I could want in a burrata salad: greens, tomato, artichoke heart, and most importantly, delicious creamy burrata with a pesto sauce and balsamic drizzle. El Rey Coffee Bar and Luncheonette
My new favorite casual neighborhood cafe on the Lower Eastside in NYC---great for a quick and delicious breakfast! Order at the counter, take your number and beverage, then sit wait to be served. It's all counters and bar stools at this bright and cheery small spot. With floor to ceiling windows onto Stanton Street (with a crowd that overflows on to sidewalk tables and benches on a sunny day) and a rear counter that looks right into the…Read more …

Chilled cucumber avocado soup with yogurt, basil, almonds and good oil--rich and delicious. Kale Salad with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, garlicky croutons (I passed on these) and lemon dressing. Eden Rock Hotel
Lunch on the beach: Watermelon and goat cheese drizzled with olive oil (quite simple…this is literally all is it: cubes of fresh watermelon stacked 2 or 3 high like a pyramid, dotted with soft crumbled goat cheese and drizzled with excellent olive oil…refreshing and delicious)) Fresh poached lobster salad with lemon wedges (I got the dressings on the side; the secret to the delicious-ness of this salad is the oh-so-tenderly butter-poached lobster…it melts in your mouth. Several lemon…Read more …
